Abstract
Tjelovježba je nezaobilazna komponenta dobrog zdravlja. Postoji sve veći broj istraživanja koja pokazuju kako je svaki oblik vježbe pogodan ne samo za zdravu osobu već i za neurološke bolesnike. Iako se rezultati istraživanja objavljuju ne samo u znanstvenim časopisima, već i u drugim medijima kao što su dnevni tiskovi, radijske i televzijske emisije, poruka dopire do relativno malog broja ljudi. Opravdanja za neaktivan sportski život neuroloških bolesnika je mnogo. Problemi vezani uz transport, neprilagođena oprema i prostor, neznanje o važnosti vježbi, materijalni uvjeti, strah i nepovjerenje o mogućem napretku i slično. U radu su opisane opće značajke terapijskog penjanja, oprema koja se koristi i tehnike pravilnog izvođenja pokreta prilikom terapijskog penjanja. Iako vrlo mladi oblik terapije, terapijsko penjanje se primjenjuje sve više u raznim područjima medicine. U ovom radu prikazani su benefiti terapijskog penjanja kod neuroloških bolesnika. Opisani način terapije dokazuje da se i neurološkom bolesniku može omogućiti bavljenje ovim sportom.
