Abstract
Tema ovoga rada su tumori gušterače. U radu je opisana anatomska i fiziološka građa gušterače, tumori u egzokrinom dijelu, neuroendokrini tumori gušterače, te njihova dijagnostika i liječenje. Tumori gušterače spadaju u rjeđe oblike raka probavnog sustava, ali imaju najnižu stopu preživljavanja od svih karcinoma. Razlog tomu je što se simptomi jave kasno, uglavnom kada je bolest već metastazirala. Zbog toga je petogodišnje preživljavanje manje od 5%. Trenutno se nalaze na 5. mjestu u odnosu na smrtnost u Europi, a u Hrvatskoj se godišnje dijagnosticira više od 600 novih slučajeva. Tumori gušterače se javljaju nešto više kod muškaraca nego kod žena, uglavnom iznad 60 godina. Oko 95% zloćudnih novotvorina gušterače se javlja u skladu duktalnog adenokarcinoma. Najčešće metastaze se pojavljuju u retroperitonealnom tkivu, stijenci dvanaesnika, slezeni, želudcu, debelom crijevu, nadbubrežnoj žlijezdi, limfnim čvorovima i jetri.
