Abstract
U ovom radu obrađuje se tema zdravstvene njege bolesnika s astmom, jedne od najčešćih kroničnih nezaraznih bolesti u svijetu koja uzrokovana različitim uzročnicima zahvaća respiratorni sustav oboljele osobe te na njemu radi promjene. Na samom početku rada opisana je anatomija i fiziologija kompletnog respiratornog sustava, upravo zbog njegove zahvaćenosti ovom bolešću. Kroz kasniju razradu dobivamo šire informacije o kategorizaciji, etiologiji, epidemiologiji, patofiziologiji te kliničkoj slici astme. Osim toga, obrađuje se tema dijagnostike zbog nepostojanja specifičnog postupka utvrđivanja ove bolesti. Kako bi se postavila dijagnoza astme potrebni su anamnestički podaci, fizikalni pregled, postupci mjerenja plućne funkcije te kožni i laboratorijski testovi. Proučen je i cjelokupni postupak liječenja astmatičnih bolesnika, od edukacije i kontrole okoliša do medikamentne i fizikalne terapije. Na samom kraju opisuje se zdravstvena njega astmatičnih bolesnika s perspektive medicinske sestre/tehničara i njena angažiranost o ovako ograničenom pacijentu. Prikazuje se odnos sestre/tehničara i pacijenta, navode dijagnoze te moguće provedive intervencije
