Abstract
Traumatske ozljede mogu biti teške i složene i zahtijevaju koordinirane napore multidisciplinarnog tima. Slikovni testovi igraju temeljnu ulogu u brzoj i točnoj dijagnozi. Konkretno, kompjutorizirana tomografija cijelog tijela (engl. Computerized tomography - CT) postala je ključni alat. Postoje različiti CT protokoli ovisno o stanju bolesnika; dok se protokoli optimizirani za dozu mogu koristiti kod stabilnih pacijenata, protokoli vremena/preciznosti koji daju prednost brzini po cijenu isporuke većih doza zračenja trebaju se koristiti kod težih pacijenata. Kod nestabilnih pacijenata koji se ne mogu pregledati CT-om, RTG prsnog koša i zdjelice te FAST ciljani ultrazvučni pregled traumatizranih pacijenata (engl. Focused Assessment with Sonography for Trauma) ili e-FAST protokol koji obuhvaća pregled pluća u cilju detekcije pneumotoraksa (engl. Extended Focused Assessment), ultrazvučne studije, iako manje osjetljive od CT-a, omogućuju detekciju situacija koje zahtijevaju hitno liječenje.
