Abstract
Kontrola i njega operativno strumektomiranih bolesnika je sastavni dio sestrinske skrbi. Strumektomirani bolesnici primaju se neposredno nakon operativnog zahvata izravno na bolesnički odjel. Tada je uloga medicinske sestre vrlo važna i ogleda se u kontroli disanja, krvarenja i kontroli kalcija. Medicinska sestra ima vrlo važnu ulogu u zbrinjavanju bolesnika nakon operativnog zahvata. U završnom radu prikazane su anatomija i fiziologija štitnjače, najčešće bolesti štitnjače s osobitim naglaskom na strumu. Posebno poglavlje predstavlja postoperativno zbrinjavanje strumektomiranih bolesnika kroz proces zdravstvene njege.
